You have probably guessed that I wasn't going to waste an OSE Hellas Sprinter model, it was just a joke.
Some friends though have sent me messages with offers to trade the poor H561 with a RENFE Electrotren or LIMA model
The Electrotren E2524 model is being used.
Unsuccessfully tried to remove paint using Fornet, I continued with Isopropyl Alcohol that did remove the grey paint but was of no use with the lettering...
Sanding with 1000 and 1200' sandpaper did the job.
At this point I decided to remove some of the models inaccuracies compared to the original, not all of them but the most easy to do.
The next points are to be treated, illustrated also at the photos
1) remove the 1st, 7th and 8th grilles from the roof
2) fill the two grilles at the front next to the lights
3) remove the two handles at the right front by filling the holes
4) fill the panel at the front of the side windows
After sanding and filling I have sprayed the body with Vallejo primer that reveals the points that need refilling and more sanding.
It also revealed that I have to completely remove the purple band at the bottom of the model....
