Fantastic work, and results TEE1055. Thank you for sharing and for the conversion notes.

I have only one question: Will it be possible for one to cut two square openings on the plastic body so that there is daylight between the side cab windows?

Thanks, Christo

Your idea dont work, because at the marked part of the body is the ballast weight and the electronic equipment inside. My idea is to paint this area in light green like the greek cab interior.

Hi all,

This is my first attempt ever to convert a model. So far I am happy although there are some details that need improvement. Now the challenge is to complete the painting...

I finally managed to draw the white line!! I used a tesa masking tape (precision mask no.4334) and the result was very good I think. I only need to smoothen the line edges after the color dry completely.
Somebody for decals please!!!

Hi guys!
At last I have in hand the etchings and I am able to present my kit for converting the Mabar loco to the Greek Cat.
The kit supplies you with:
2x Side panels, one for the left and one for the right side of the model to replace the 'wrong' doors and vents.
2x square grills to replace the original ones at the long end of the loco.
Lots of hinges to add on the replacement side panels.
6x Marker light panels (2 additional, just in case...)
4x correct buffer heads
1x correct fuel tank
4x fuel level gauges.

Here is the first two parts added on my loco:
