The Inoi Logistics Complex & Freight Operations

Hi there, It's been a while that I am thinking to make a presentation of the Logistics Companies and the Freight operations in and around the Inoi Station.
Among the stations I have visited, Inoi seems really unique to me. With two big Logistic Centers and an operational freight ramp is a rail-freight fan's paradise.
And a great inspiration to my layout's plan too

An aerial photo that I have created by joining some Google Earth screen shots. Note the two Logistics Centers,
One at the bottom, very close to the station, operated by Transcombi Express S.A http://www.transcombigroup.com/index.html
The other at the top of the photo, just after the turn of the line to Chalkida, the TRADE LOGISTICS (member of the FOURLIS group) http://www.tradelogistics.gr/index.html
Apart of these two it seems to be tracks connecting other companies, probably non operational today, that we'll consider later.

Is the triangle at the bottom of the picture (Transcombi Express) in use by traversing locomotives?

No Christo, it's out of use (as a triangle). It's right by the triangle that the Warehouse is built...

The Transcombi Express Warehouse

As we have mentioned it is built by the old triangle. It serves Intermodal, Slide-Wall and Tank wagons.
At the next aerial view I have marked the approximate point that the photos are shot from.

01) the view from the ''entrance'' of the triangle

02-06) some shots from the "exit" of the triangle (guess there are some proper terms that I ignore but I hope you get the point)

container carriers and tank wagons are stationed and served on the triangle "side"

the warehouse, the wagons loading/unloading ramps and the truck ramps

07-08) the wagons loading/unloading ramps, flatbeds and slide-walls are served

09-10) the trucks loading/unloading ramps from the containers yard

we'll go on with some photos of the different types of wagons being served

Good morning to all members

Why did they built as trinagle there previously? I suppose it wasn't for the Transcombi complex...

Is the Transcombi company using railway really for moving freights? that desertical parking zone seems to hace no life... only a dozen of 20 and 40 feet containers seen it's not a reference for a logistic terminal, don't you think so?

You got a point there, it's not though always like that, depends of the days. Consider this is a local terminal that serves the adjoining industrial zone.
As we'll go on will be more clear how it works

Inoi 12/11/2014, Melasse is being transfered from the RCH tanks to the tank truck

Early this year I had noticed that the area next to the old triangle had been flattened and looked like something was to be build there...
Finally in 4/6/2016 I had some shots of the area. Compare hem to the Google maps shot at the top of the topic.
