Andreas, since you know many things Swiss, could you please tell me, if you know, the location of the photo underneath. It is NOT a trick question. I do not remeber where I took it, or even if it is in Switzerland. One thing is certain: It is over a bridge again

It seems that is not in Switzerland, but maybe in Germany. The lighting, catenary at left and the rolling stock looks more german.

Thanks Johannes. I thought the same. It looks very much like DB. Maybe I took it in Hannover, maybe in Bamberg. Old age creeps upon one when one least expects it .

Swiss Express compositions had knuckle couplers from the beging. Later when this compositions were withdrawn the locomotives were rebuilt with screw couplings.

Photo Balkanmodels: April 1982 somewhere between Basel and Dornach. I expect this photo and the previous one are of tram sheds along the line but we now have Swiss friends who can confirm this.
