October 1990 at PES Thessaloniki. This 2 axle flat is carrying two tank containers which carry ANTINOCK COMPOUND. Unfortunately I did not mark its country of origin.

I think it's a DB Lgjs 575; the next on the right side seems to be also a DB car, most probably Sgjs 716

BarbaP may be wondering in his modelling dreams ;) how these containers came in and out of PES Thessaloniki. The answer is by road. Here are a couple of photos to demonstrate the point. Unfortunately, as I said before, these land marks gave way to progress, so they are gone!

Photo Balkanmodels: January 1993 at PES Thessaloniki. A wagon at the head of a very long train with EVERGREEN containers. I hope Stefan can help us identify the wagon.

Christo, you are overestimating my capacities :) For sure it is a yugoslavian construction, which was not exported to other countries, as far as I know. Far right on the "fishbelly" there could be the JZ logo. Perhaps Sky could tell us more ;)

You are right Stefan. I remembered them as being JZ but I had not recorded anything at the back of that photo. I usually do.

BM CG JZ Jan93.jpg

Photo Balkanmodels: January 1993 at PES Thessaloniki. A rake of JZ sliding wall vans stabled in an adjoining line. Please note the modern station building (through the open wagon side) that was built in place of the magnificent old station. Unfortunately, it is also now demolished sacrificed to the motor car and progress!

That's a 4-axle flat wagon type Regs-z 392, primarily intended for the transportation of containers, lying cargo, industrial heavy loads, maschines, metal constructions etc...:
