We Greeks have to be very proud and happy, that ΟΣΕ has excellent, unique and very STRONG diesel-electric locos of US (ALCOs, GE / General Electrics) and Canada (MLWs). I prefer them (the Greek ones) from all the diesel-electric locos in the world. The same for the US steam locos we have as well (again with buffer & chain coupling).

In Greece came seven machines of this type. A323 was the first that went off after driving the Acropolis in Athens was destroyed in Fatal accident on 16 1 1972 after a collision with the baby Alco A 207 between Doxaras and Orphans Larissa.Here's a video about this accident.

the second Alco A321 engine was derailed and destroyed in February 1998 outside the station Arnissa.
The A 322, A 324 and A 327 is disposed and A 325 and A 326 are still in circulation as a museum machines
