Hello All,
I have heard through my British H0 Society contacts that a group or a shop in Holland is to produce a H0 scale RTR model of this loco type;
http://www.hetgroterdamproject.nl/index ... Itemid=174
Would there be any interest on here?
If so, please do make contact with this group/shop as that will no doubt help to ensure the project comes to pass.
I'm in!
Ya Mas,
John E.
Cheers,
John.

thanks John, it seems really interesting. I don't have the DJH model, so if it comes out at a reasonable price I'd like to have one.
let's wait for the others and if there is some interest we could contact them as a group too.

of course the most experienced of us will make the contact. guess who

Hi to All,

Depending on final proce, I'll probably get one of those.

One question: when those locos came to Greece during war and prevously of getting teh OSE livery, do you think they run in this WD livery?

BalkanExpress, ok you are excused because you probably don't speak Greek,  but in one of the "Christmas present" documents I had upload it says that the Λβ locos arrived in Greece in 24/01/1946 (so after the war had ended).

They also didn't came directly from the U.K. but had worked in Egypt before.

I don't know if they ever serviced in Greece with the W.D. numbers, but i remember a photo with a Λβ taken very close to their start of service, where it had a large label on the front saying ... "UNRRA" .

Dear GAZKGK,

In fact, I don't speak any word of Greek apart to say "thank you" (I don't dare to write it if it's wrongly done!)

So thank you for your apreciation; and for other people in forum (i know, mostly greeks!), remember there are some people interested in your beautiful railways that are obtaining half of the history. So, please, a breif resume in those things in greek will be so gratefull.

Regards

I just had a visit from a friend today and he gave me a present. With his permission, I would like to share it with you. I hope Andreas likes it.

Photo Alan Flint: April 1968 at Pythion. Loco Λβ964 with loco Λβ954 further behind. Iossif, talking about liveries, please note the light blue paint on the edge of the footplate, small round cylinder cover and the top of the valve poppet (I do not know its proper name). Alan tells me he was in the carriage (you can see the shadow of it) that just pulled in from Svilegrad. In the Shed two more locos can be seen. One looks like another Λβ while the other one with black smoke, is probably being fired up but it is too far to spot what class it is.
