bufferplank - details

chassis-beams and screw-coupling rod - details. Rod is continues till the other side of the wagon connected to the other hook. In the middle, the rod has a system of springs that are pressed, when coupled. In freight wagons, the springs of the buffers are stiffer than the springs of the couplings, whereas in passenger wagons, the opposite exists. Coupling-rod must be stiffer for passsengers.

airbrake

airbrake-end

type of brake-system used Hik GP / 1931 S (Schienenfahrzeuge) Hildebrand-Knorr-Bremse (Hik) für Personen- und Güterzüge (
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knorr-Bremse)

Brake-system: Air-reservoir / Luftbehälte (red arrow), one of the brake-balancers connected to the Air-cylinder / Bremshebel des Bremszylinders (blue-arrow), triangles of the brakes / Bremsdreiecke (yellow arrow), vertical balancers for the movement of the brakes on the Wheel-rim (grey arrow), protectors of the brake-triangles / Bremsfangschlingen (green arrow).

distributor / Steuerventil

part, where the brake-releaser / Lösezüge (red arrows) is connected with the distributor (light-blue arrow)

brake-cylinder (orange arrow), balancer (green arrows), brake-releaser (purple arrows)

view from the other side: distributor (Red arrow), balancer (green arrows), brake-releaser (purple arrows)

axle (black arrows), vertical-balancers (blue arrows), brake-triangles (Red arrows), brake-triangle-protectors (orange arrows)

Wheel-details according to UIC: w-irons / Achshalter (green arrow), sliders / Gleiter (yellow arrow), w-iron protector / Achshalter
steg (pink arrows), leaf-springs / Blattfeder (Red arrows), spring-tighters / Federbund (purple arrows), spring-hangers / Federböcke und Laschen (blue-arrows), axle-box / Achslager (black/yellow arrows), roller-bearing / Lager (black arrow), wheels (white arrow). As the part - Federbund (purple arrows) is concerned, the lower part of it is attached to the upper-part of the axle-box by a small-rod, as the latter has a hole to fit. For a correct model, the wheels are of this type for the American/European freight wagons:
http://www.wagenwerk.de/h0de/fahrzeugba ... 77-mm.htmlFinally, I have made some measurements on the buffer-planks and the Wheel-dia., but they are not completed, because I forgot to take a measurement on the buffer-length from the plank. I'll give the ones I have now, and next time, I will scan the measurements, I wrote on a Paper, and post them here. These are the following:
1./ Buffer-dia.: 380mm = 4,368mm in HO
2./ Wheel-dia.: 912mm. However, this diameter is not correct as it's counted torn (wear & tear), as on 2-axled cars, there are 2 different diameters: 1000mm (= 11,494mm in HO) for short 2-axled cars,i.e. Z2 / Ggs, Ψ2, Ψ1, Σ1, and 920mm (= 10,57mm in HO) long 2-axled cars, i.e. Ψ3, Ζ5, Ζ3, according to UIC.
3./ Shunting-handrails below buffers:
L1 / Handrail-dia. = 20mm =0,230mm in HO
L2 (yellow arrows) = 265mm = 3,046mm in HO
L3 (green arrows) = 372mm = 4,276mm in HO

I give this measurements and pics, if you all decide to construct a wagon like that in HO. I will make more pics tomorrow, and the last measurement mentioned. I can take the wagon-length and other measurements.
Thanx
Best wishes for 2014
Dimitris
