Apart from the steps and platform etches, I will try to include a metal jig for an accurate conversion to the correct distance.

1. On close inspection the plastic webing of the bogies will require cutting and adapting on the side of the close coupling mechanism to allow movement. Once one bogie is adapted a metal jig can also be created for accuracy.

2. The metal for the steps/platforms will have to (in design) allow for the lowering/raising of the end bulkheads of the wagon. Possibly thinner than 0.3mm. However the thinner the metal the more to scale but unfortunately more flexible and fragile.

OK guys, here is a scan of the decals applied on a piece of glossy cardboard.
At the top is a new print technique, called UV-print, unfortunately what you see at the scan is far from the quality of these decals!
At the bottom is the print method we were using till now.
The prints are made at the same office Andreas is using for his decals. So if you have used them or have a model from him, you already know the high quality of them.
I think even at this scan the superiority of the new printing method is visible.

I'd like to share some details about the current markings of these wagons with you.

after all these years of service they now bear several layers of lettering and in some cases at a different position.
as there is no reference material from the 80s, 90s or earlier, I tried to figure out how they should have been at the early-mid 90s

note the different position and lettering of the later marks!

another point is the inspection-service date. although the interval is supposed to be 6 years it seems that it usually takes some longer...
so going back to model them in the 90s we'll have to use some "fictional" dates in most of the cases
unless one could lay a hand on some of the MAI archives, if there is such a thing available today

I'm going to load soon a drawing with the markings position as I think they would have been
I wonder if anybody has some older reference, any help would be most welcomed

Great shot! the cars at the car transporter look like some 1984 Lancia Thema, what do you think?
the two army vehicles are a Dodge at the front and a M38A1 Jeep, gradually replaced at the 80s and early 90s by Greek licensed built Mercedes variations.

I'm going to open a topic about army, police and other service vehicles, so we 'll be able to share info and model the loads for our new flatbeds
