The A452 at Agios Ioannis, 27/9. It's not a saturation problem, the fading color seems to be turning a bit orange...

On reflection, perhaps red wasn't the best colour for a locomotive in a hot sunny climate - look at how the Adtranzs have faded to that tasteful (!) shade of pink!

All photos Balkanmodels: September 1987, no overhead wires and A461 is bringing in the Hellas Express comprising of entirely DB stock. I could have opened a new topic on DB in Greece but I got lazy. Anyway, here it is from the footbridge outside the Carriage Shed in Thessaloniki.

What an interesting load. Is it a grader Dimitris on the flat wagon behind the loco?

Yes, Christo exactly, a grader.

It was during my work in ERGOSE SA in 2002. We were testing the signalling on every new station this period. So, suddenly an MLW arrived. :D

Thank God, I had time to take a photo, even in this slightly long distance. I wish I was closer.... :(

Dear all, specially Christo

In that picture about the MLW with DB coaches, we can see in the foreground a baggage coach in cream/blue DB colours.

Does any DB baggage coach were converted into OSE lettering as other UIC class X were done?

BalkanEpxress,

OSE did not have any converted DB baggage cars.

On two occasions I saw the Hellas Express ( I hope it was not the Acropolis Express) in the late 80s it comprised entirely of DB carriages in blue/cream livery. At the end of the train they always coupled the ex CIWL Restaurant Car.

Photo Balkanmodels: September 1987 and I am afraid what I said about the other three photos earlier in this topic does not stand. I found this fourth photo showing the end of the eight carriage International train pulled by A.461, from the footbridge outside the Carriage Shed in Thessaloniki.
