There were also Baggage Cars from Italy. The photographs below are of two different types.

Photo Balkanmodels: April 2001 a ΔΕφπ car (baggage and post combo) abandoned at a head shunt at NES Thessaloniki possibly used as a tool store.

Photo Balkanmodels: August 1986 a Δφπ car (baggage) at NES Thessaloniki in line 8 coupled next to a Hungarian Driving Trailer carriage. It was 8 years before, in 1978 that a massive earthquake struck the city and the station perimeter brick wall was deemed unsafe. In the foreground the reconstruction of the wall is in full flow.

Photo Balkanmodels: July 1989 NES thessaloniki. From a very crowded Line 3, waiting for the International train to arrive from Athens departing for Yugoslavia, an Italian AB and a Baggage Car can be seen in Line 6 coupled to what seems to be a VEB.

Some of these Italian carriages were later converted to Book Exhibition Cars that travelled about promoting books from the editors of Northern Greece. I know of two cars only painted in this livery with vice versa Greek English inscriptions.

Hi to all,

Due to the wideness of windows, which do you think it would be better for transforming into the baggage/mail coach? 1st/2nd coach or just 2nd one?

That baggage car is interesting - ACME do an Italian model which can be converted. I bought one some time ago and stripped it down but didn't complete it. Now we have the ACME OSE Bredas, I'll get it out and have another look at it.ΟΧΗΜΑ ΣΥΡΜΟΥ ΒΟΗΘΕΙΑΣ translates as 'train vehicle assistance'. When I took these photos at Aghios Ioannis depot both it and the other yellow Breda plus an orange-painted 1936 German coach were parked behind the breakdown crane - draw your own conclusions!

which is the ACME baggage car you are using?
I think we have another major project here! we could build all three of them!
