Another long lasting project is close to completion....
April 2018, I first started converting eight Eaos models (4 Klein and 4 Roco).
To remove paint and decals wasn't that easy using both isopropil alcohol and oven cleaner!
I finally had them all painted with RAL 8012 Red-Brown color. I used both Vallejo 71.271 and Molak 7008 to see if there was any difference..
The finish was identical, I had though altered the color to a couple of them to have some tonal variety as is the case in real life.
The decals were designed by Tasos for a Marklin model. I had to modify them to fit the Klein/Roco one and with Jason's help I made some new numbers according to the
boggies/doors combination.
First digit is for the boggies,
A: Y25 "international" design
B: Y25 "French" design
Second digit is for the doors type,
A: Plain Doors
B: Doors with reinforcements
so I made 15 different numbers:
