thanks Christo, great photos!

you're right that great photos like the Kostas' one above are invaluable, as they revive memories to the older and reveal the past to the younger,
but photos like yours are just a modeler's dream :D
especially as the remaining examples are not only damaged and looted, but also heavily graffitized

Bogie of ganz mavag passenger car (std and nrw gauge)

Postby amine » Tue Dec 30, 2014 11:15 pm

Hello
I’m from Tunisie, and I’m very interested on Ho scale train, but the models used by Tunisian railway are not exist in Ho scale, so I have no other solution except building my own models.
Now I try to build the Ganz mavag passenger cars used by Tunisian railway, but I have some difficul to build the bogies. Few days ago, I see this picture http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5322/1005 ... 6663_z.jpg
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=182&start=10

After some research, I see that this bogie model is built by balkanmodels, but, I don’t see it in the web page, so, how can I get this bogies, and what is it’s price.

Sorry for my english ...

Amine welcome to the forum. Balkan Models never produced this bogie but it was produced by a fellow member TEE11.5 Please look for him in the members section and send him a pm for details. I will merge this into the right topic.

I had an email. The price is 150 euros for a set of replacement bogies. No answers to the other questions.

You mean 150 euros for 6 bogies ???
