Summer 1995 at Thessaloníki Station, an OBB Bcmz with the 1410/1411 (Thessaloníki - Wien). Next to this is a JZ WRm dinning car.

LS Models 47045, a really great model in HO.

I especially like these OBB coaches, and the new LS models are just fantastic, with all the fine detail we now expect from companies like LS and ACME!
Andy (Olympus) has made a thorough research on the 1410/1411 trains and we have had some long discussion through emails about this lately.

Can anyone identify what model will be suitable for the OBB carriage behind the Alco. Both Phil's photos are of the Hellas 334 leaving NES Thessaloniki for Idomeni.

according to Andy it's an OBB Bm, available in model form by Railtop (No: 32203.2)
I don't know if there is a Roco one available...

In Phil's photos the doors of the OBB carriage look to be recessed but in the model they look flush with the body. :? What do you think?

Hi Christo,

if you look carefully you will see that the door is not recessed but flush. It looks like that because the door is open! Look at the second door of the coach and you will see that it is flush!

Cheers

Christo, there is no model of this OBB carriage! The mentioned RailTop model could be used as a substitution, but they are not of the same type!
The carriage In Phil's photos is an older type with recessed doors.
Here is the photo of the carriage (taken from http://www.tramways.at/):

Sky,

Thank you ever so much. I remember seeing the OBB recessed door carriage, but after so many years and with no photographic evidence, :? the mind plays games.

The same OBB couchette car type, but in blue livery (behind the JŽ car), at Thessaloniki station, Sep 1990. (Photo Phil Wormald):
