Now that the model manufacturers have begun to make new model announcements, I thought it would be good to check in on what new items would be good for the modeller of Greek railways. As always I find the Trains Depot website an excellent resource for announcements and catalogues: https://www.trainsdepot.org/search/miniatures-catalogs/
So far Roco, Marklin, Piko, Rivarossi, Jouef, Lima and Electrotren have made their announcements. I think the most interesting model from the Greek perspective is the ETR 470 from Rivarossi which is on p.138 of their catalogue. Unfortunately even through they are offering 2 different versions - they are NOT offering the Greek version, even though the Greek ETR 470 is the only one running on rails today! I guess that is a clear indication of how unimportant the Greek market is to the major manufacturers.
From my perspective, I am interested in Roco's Rail Cargo Austria Habbiins (p.167 on the Roco catalogue) as these have been seen in Greece and the H0 scale version has been very rare.
Has anyone seen anything else that has caught their attention?
