Hi Ellas, you're right it was most impressive! Unfortunately I didn't have all the time I'd like to. Followed by a naggy girlfriend (who became shortly my wife) I had to shoot everything in a hurry, so I missed a lot of interesting rolling stock.
Do you have any photos from the 80's?

MAV Class V43 Electric Locomotive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%81V_Class_V43 with some CFR coaches at the background and a blue one that looks like an Ucranian WLAB

and a second quite rusty one...

as far as I know the only HO models available are from Fuggerth in various color schemes and numbers

I've never met the monster but here is some diesel

as far as I know there is no model of this loco arround.
with a little search at the net I found out that a model has been created by Andras Domonkos, but I didn't manage to find out if and of how many pieces was ever released.

still in the 26th November 2003, the V46 021 Elecric shunter brings in a line of PKP Intercity coaches

and pulls out

while the V63 155 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%81V_Class_V63) has coupled at the consist and gets ready for the departure

thats all folks, there are a couple more photos worth shown from that trip with PKP coaches that I'm going to post later to the appropriate topic

Hi 2145, welcome to our company, I don't know if there is any relation between them. The V36 seems to be a quite older design with different wheel-set that looks like the one of the V60 (which is still serving down here as the A.100 class). As I am no expert lets wait and I guess someone else will give us an answer soon
