Hellenic Train has agreed with Alstom to get 23 new Coradia Stream electric multiple units
Eleven trains will be used at the suburban services (Piraeus – Athens – Airport, Athens – Chalkida, Athens – Kiato – Patras). While twelve will serve at the Athens – Thessaloniki service.
A unit arrived on 28/1/26 from Bulgaria and will be tested til June 2026 in order to receive the necessary certifications.
