Hello, Christo!

At the end of 1950, the Renault manufactury of l'île Seguin was closed, and railcars construction was transferred to Choisy-le-Roi.

ABJ family before WWII had différences about cooling system, removed on the roof and generally very bulky. Since 1946, french ingeniors had perfected a forced cooling system more limited. L'ABJ4 was born. Its export version for standart gauge was the ABJ9, which 9 exemplaries were delivered by Choisy-le-Roi to hellenic railways between 1950 and 1953.

Every unit had Willison couplers, but needed each its driver, I say it because "DMU": difference between a DMU, 2 or more units for 1 lone driver and a "couplage", x units for x drivers...

Good afternoon to all members

From Facebook's Greek Narrow Gauge Railways group, Nestor Lappas, posted some pictures from an article by the prestigious french 'La vie du rail' under the title L'Hellade. No idea when publishing was done.

Here's a picture of an unidentified french AA41-49 Renault ABJ railcar

I think those french railcars were 'the hook to the magazine to visit the french stock in other countries...
