The D.M.s (Driving Motors) were, at the beginning, 11. Ten whole D.M.U.s and one spare.

AA 1101 (4-digit number to prevent mixing up with the A 101 - 130 V. 60s.)
All these were built in 1976 by GANZ MAVAG BUDAPEST.
Unfortunately, AA 100 had an accident at Platania and couldn't be repaired (it was finally scrapped, finally, in the late 1990s at Nea Magnisia). O.S.E., later, in 1987 ordered one Driving Motor more, which covered the previous one's numbering, as AA 100, so there were 12 D.M.s at this class, which is often written (correctly) as AA 91-100,100,1101.
Since 1991, they were used as two-vehicle DMUs ( D.M. + D.T. ) while the BAR vehicles were withdrawn, with Μ.ΛΑ. (Μηχανοστάσιο ΛΑρίσης - Larissa depot) being their base.
After they were completely replaced in all roles by other rolling stock, with last-working being AA 98 - AA 172 ** they were nearly all transported at three different places at Zachari and (in ~ 2007) some were scrapped there.

At the beginning of 2013, there was a fire at one of the places at Zachari causing all of the GANZ MAVAGs there to be burnt and completely destroyed. For example, these are the photos of the same vehicles.
