BM CG A55x Aug86.jpg

Photo Balkanmodels: August 1986 somewhere near Litohoro. A55x pulling an Athens bound International express. All the carriages were DB blue/cream and one solitary ex CIWL Greek Restaurant carriage coupled at the end. I waited patiently at the level crossing listening to the stories of the gate keeper from his time in the Resistance. The train run late and I heard lots of stories. That is how it was done in those days.

Photo Balkanmodels: September 1989 NES Thessaloniki. Twenty four years ago sister loco A.556 resting by the platform. So that we can still remember these powerful beasts.

BM JS A554.jpg

Joseph's photo in 1981 showing loco A554 in Athens. Note that the side grilles at the far end had not been revised yet.

As British Railways' Class 56 were built by ELECTROPUTERE CRAIOVA, do you think it could be usefull to re-use both chassis and bogies sides to construct our A550s?
