The newest DMU of OSE, built under the Hellenic Shipyards-MAN-Siemens collaboration, introduced in 2006.
Although not that modern looking as the Desiro and Stadler, and a bit noisy, it is considered to be robust and reliable and much appreciated by many rail fans exactly for that noise and classic looks

The class has 15 double units numbered 621 101/201 to 621 115/215, capable to carry 144 seated passengers and achieve a maximum speed of 130km/h.

now that I see this photo again, it seems to be a 4 units train, unfortunately I was much occupied to shoot the freight wagons and I missed the opportunity

Hello barbapanagos,

Your photos of the 621 MAN2000 DMU are great! I love oldies like this. These oldies support the railroad-traffic in little towns offside the head-railroad lines.

621 102-202 at Agios Ioannis, 13/11/2013. that's how most of the MAN2000, DESIRO and some coaches look like recently, after the advertisement OSE & DEI (ΔΕΗ) agreement :cry:
