Would you be painting the blue stripe on the roof later?

Thanks Folks! I had few problems with too much of color at the masking tape border. But on the picture we cannot see.
I have choosed the 1990-Jears paint scheme with silver-metallic roof and grey and blue sides. This is without class indication numbers and the blue roof stripe.

I have make the first assembly test on the motor car with adaption of the bogies from member TEE11.5. Before, few details on the body like antenna, windows, extra glazing on the upper headlight and buffers are mounted. The non-motorized bogies have new wheelsets in RP25-Finescale. On the motorbogie is its needed to cut material (mostly invisible) behind the secondary suspension for let pass the screw from the mounting bar.

Grüezi Johannes,

Your modeling work is of such a quality that it makes us deadly jealous!!

Being convinced that I am expressing the subconscious wish of many friends of the forum, I believe you should take some time to write a tutorial, especially on painting/masking!!

Thanks again, and Rgds,

Joseph (Iossif)

I will try it to make this more like a manual, but i think that are mostly usual modelling skills, the experience make the difference. That is what is needed:

To get the exact orientation of the blue painting, apply 10mm-Tamyia masking tape exactly above the lower end of the body: (Picture after painting  )

The blue painting ist the last color to apply. It`s better to paint it in two steps. Little errors can be removed with the blade or a toothpick. At last (after lettering) the body should be painted with clear laquer.

To create the surface of the headlights, apply a drop Micro Crystal Klear with a toothpick. In a second step, glue the thin polystyrene glazing with the same fluid on the upper headlight:
