Once uppon a time, a Δα was used to heat water for cleaning purposes, at the Thessaloniki depot.. Maybe it's this one ?

Later on, it was replaced by a Z2 van, which was converted to a heater .. Some time i will upload the photo of it, resting at Nea Magnisia.

Sorry for the bad quality but these are the results of using the CASIO compact camera I used back then ..

Photos taken in 16/04/2012: one day after Easter, and one day before the death of the last original legend of Greek folks music, Dimitris Mitropanos.. :(

(Sorry for kind of Off-topic too...)

In 2002 I was visiting the Shed in Thessaloniki to take photos of visiting A504 which had just returned from the USA. Browsing through my close up shots of A504 (and A463) I saw many times this cleaning wagon stabled in the place of Da53. The photos I took were sent to the HQ of HOMICRON in Oberstdorf. Later though, unbeknown to me at the time, HOMICRON changed to Alpha Trains and A504 changed to A471. Just as well that I kept the negatives. The Greek Modelling Market was always so highly competitive. :D

BTW I was not laughing then.

Today something else,

from Thursday till today we had FREMO meeting of the Swiss group. Greece was also present with Pythion but also today with a BalkanModels A451 R. The Model was assembled in the UK by Balkanmodels, painted, lettered and equiped with electronics from erail. Today was the first outing of A456 and she performed like a dream! Slow speeds, smooth accelerations and magnificent sound by erail. I would like to thank Christo again for this magnificent model! The Swiss and Germany FREMO members were fascinated by the locomotive and they wanted to drive her! Of course I gave her so that I can take some pictures and video...for the video will be diffcult to upload because I dont have a youtube account. Now I only need 15 N6. :D

Anything unusual about it?

I wonder if anyone reads the captions. Anyway the unusual thing was the A302 had only one set of numbers beneath the right hand side back window and nothing beneath the left one. Nothing unusual about the next one though.

you're right, but this is an irregularity one would expect from OSE, as I can see the A.304, A.306 and A.310 didn't have a rear side numbering either ;) :D

Andrea, no wonder the MLW impressed the fellow modelers over there, she's such a beauty in model form, as is the real thing! :D
