Wheel diameter for standard or metric Alsthoms is 1.022m ( 11.75mm in HO scale).

Christo,

Hello.

Are the buffers of the ALSTHOM HO locomotive model sprung?

Regards,

No Dimitris they are not. They are solid brass and they are produced by http://www.amf87.fr/images/tarifs_acc_dec.pdf. The reference is AO11.

Christo,

Thanx for your reply.

Yes, I know AMF87 as well. He does sprung-buffers as well, so any type of buffers he does, the customer can put the word 'R' for ressort / or tampon a ressort / sprung-buffer, so he can produce it as sprung. He explains that in his website. I 'll buy some sprung-buffers from him for my french Eaos 76803 from ROCO as well as my TGV ends from LIMA HO 1983.

Thanks Dimitris. If you, or anyone else, wanted a higher level of detail I could always consider supplying the Alsthom as a kit and you can then super customise it, not only with sprung buffers but with screw couplings, radio aerial, etc.
