Absolutely true, as was advertized on the timetable ('It calls at all stations and stops', "ΣΤΑΘΜΕΥΕΙ ΕΙΣ ΑΠΑΝΤΑΣ ΤΟΥΣ ΣΤΑΘΜΟΥΣ ΚΑΙ ΣΤΑΣΕΙΣ")
Needless to say sometimes the 'stop' was just a basic concrete shelter (or less...) in the middle of nowhere!
Once in the middle 70s I wanted to travel from Thessaloniki to Serres; when I asked for a ticket for a specific local, the man behind the desk smiled and said, "you have chosen a lovely train; it's also romantic..."
The funny part of the story was that when we arrived at Kilkis, the delayed 605 Dikaia-Athens was just entering the station, packed with people. I still remember passengers leaning out of the windows and screaming with rage to our direction, " Are you also a fast train?? ("ΚΑΙ ΕΣΕΙΣ ΤΑΧΕΙΑ ΕΙΣΑΣΤΕ;")
