Now, after returning to the UK and having consulted my photos, I would like to make the following two comments and ask one question on these bogies:

The extension to the sideframes are only correct on the inner side of each bogie.

The extension is rounded with oval openings rather than angular.

Question: The stubs in the original side frames push in and lock. Are the 3d printed stubs strong enough to be pushed in and lock?

Christo, i will help with some answers:

Yes, this is correct. I have removed it on the outside. That is the current state (3D-Rendering, part of the first lot):

The shape of this extension seems me approximately correct, exept the openings. There are no openings to get the stability of this exposed part. Further, this is on the "dark side of the locomotive".

The mounting-stubs have not the same stability like the Bowser-originals. Is its better to remove the gear-coverage completely bevore mounting the bogie-sides. Then, once the sides are on its place, you can remounting the coverage without risk to broke something. Same the brake bar has a lot of fragility. Some caution by mounting the sides is needed.

Its all very clear and helpful. One last question: Are the sandboxes removable so that the sideframes could be used for A500 Rebuilt?

To your last question: I have designed 12 (!) different sides with 3 different types of axle sensors and (in the design) removable sand boxes. So, there are all types from prototype. Exept the A 450 rebuilt, all types are actually in production. In few weeks you can see some parts

There is the solution for the Austrains-Bogies:

Like the original parts its not so simple to remove it from the gear.

By Bowser-ones, its required to cut off some material under the mounting holes:

The total Price of each kit is 80 EUR. Sure, this is not cheap, but only the printing costs of one side in the highest detail quality are nearly 15 EUR. In total with Austrains, i have designed 24 different parts.
