I am sure someone will model the meter gauge Ganz soon, but it will NOT be me. I don't think you understand the writing on the wall for Balkan Models, however I thank you for suggesting it.

I have commissioned six more sets to be made. Work will commence next March. Due to various increases in materials but primarily on what I pay to the guys who solder the Nickel Silver together, the new price will be £850. Two sets have been reserved, so four sets are still looking for a good home.

Work is progressing well on the latest Ganz sets. The chassis have been folded and the bodies are not far behind. The new sets will have a number of changes:
1. New design and manufacture brass pivots for smoother running of the bogies, replacing the brass tube and plastic overlays.
2. New design and manufacture of 3D plastic front light clusters, replacing the fiddly nickel silver and brass tube ones.
3. New design and manufacture of 3D plastic under floor air reservoirs (the fat ones), replacing the white metal ones.
4. The Halling power body will have its wheels replaced with the Roco ones so that the entire set runs on the same type of wheel.
5. The Roco electric close coupler heads will still be provided but not fitted.

The difficulty in producing these kits is finding skilled modellers to build them and since this is always difficult I do not know if more could be made. So adopt one and give it a good home.

I was visited today from the constructor of these kits and I had a chance of a close inspection. The GANZ sets are coming along very nicely. Everything looks good...and two sets are still looking for a good home. Estimated completion date sometime around Easter.

The first of six sets has started its 2K mile journey to Athens, this morning. The other five sets will be ready within a month. I hope there is some interest, since some of them are looking for a new home. .

The last 5 Ganz sets have arrived. Terrible overcrowding.

Thankfully one more is travelling to Athens tomorrow morning. The remaining 4 will keep me company a little while longer.
