BM CG A363 Jan97b.jpg

Photo Balkanmodels: January 1997 at NES Thessaloniki. A.363 viewed from the back right side.

Another view of the unpainted model from the same angle (back right hand side) as the photo above, minus the two ladies sitting on the station bench :) .

christo.

PS. Incidentally, there are still two beauties (left behind as cancelled orders) which are looking for new homes. The new owners must be Francophiles and like all things blue, smoky, oily, etc  .

Oh! my God! Barbapanagos!

What lovely pictures! What an ambience!

In some of them, ypu can see the CIWL car just after de loco. It was a sleeping car or a restaurant? extrange position for a sleeping coach, where it'd probably suffer most the locomotive pulling and breaking...

Delivered around the same time as the A321's, the A351's are slighty more powerful and have a lighter weight, which makes them suitable to operate on those lines with a light axle loading. However, they were too light to operate heavy freight on their own and eventually ended up working from Thessaloniki on passenger & frieght workings to Kozani, Florina, Idomeni, Serres, Alexandroupouli/Dikea/Ormenio.
