Are those wooden coaches on the left some Piareus metro stock?

Why are they on OSE siddings?

To be more precise, are these THE remaining (i.e. ex-preserved) EHS cars?

Yes, as I have heard they are supposed to be preserved...

What I have found out is that during the last couple months, these three lines, visible at the photo above, are being used for the trains circulation at Agios Ioannis
The traffic controllers are housed in a small hut, located at the left, almost under the point I stand while shooting this photo.
The reason is some planed works in order to improve the draining system at some point of the main lines.

I have also been told that there is no plan till now to move the old rolling stock at some of the known graveyards.
Let's hope they are right!
