Breda railcar, which seems to be a slightly different type? Next to it is a German built railcar, on a service to Kalambaka.

Hi All,

Pierre, the DMU shown on this pic is actually a trailer; it has stood for years at Palaeofarsalos, and apparently, it may have been one of the ex-SVDE (Sidirodromi Voreio-Dytikis Ellados) Littorine transferred to Volos.

Unfortunately, the only Bredas surviving today are one in Velestino (probably Α-14) and one ex-ΣΒΔΕ trailer in Enotiki, all not working. The one in Velestino is one of the last reported active, while the other one in Enotiki is completely destroyed, with one buffer missing, seats missing,no engine, destroyed by rain, etc.Enotiki's Breda has probably been transported to Dasolofos, together with the 2-3 wagons of Enotiki.

SBDE Bredas had serviced in Lavrio line for six months before going to Aitoloakarnania.

The Breda trailer, as well as the four Marchetti coaches, are is still at Enotiki.

Have in mind, though, that the engines were officially removed during the conversion.

Yes,I know about the engines but I think that Enotiki's rails have been destroyed and the trailers are now in Dasolofos.More photos soon.

See this. It's interesting. From a book about Kalabaka Station and Thessaly Railways.

But note the mistake.Where it says Mitsubishi DMUs , it means Linke Hofmann.
