More pictures from Flickr server, under 'Kurbelwelle', during summer in 1983 and 1986.

This is the GANZ DMU in the Piraeus port

I wish you'll enjoy them and make a better weekend

The first four ganz train sets were delivered in 1976 and had four coaches. The difference between the three car DMUs and the four car ones is that in the three car DMUs the first class was on the powered coach and not on the driving trailer as it was in the four car ones.Another difference; four car DMUs were not able to go southern than Corinth from Tripolis line because of the sharp turns. The newer three car train sets had different bogies and could easily go to Kalamata from Tripolis. That's why the 1976 trains went only to Patras and Pyrgos during their first years.Later, combinations were made and three car trains were mixed up with the four car ones.At present, the only one remaining is ( I can't remember the number but it has three coaches ) in Kalamata depot,half- rebuilt in operational condition(it was used until 2015 in Messini line. Now it remains stored. One trailer without an axle is in Sirtis.Another burnt (in Issari - 1997 ) powered coach without engine remains in Sirtis. The other Ganz Mavag relics are in Kardiakafti. Some are burnt, stolen by the well-known gypsies of Pyrgos or heavily covered with graffiti.

Whatch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48nUSOg ... 3rk0h00410

That's a four car Ganz.As for the mixed trainsets, you can see photos here https://www.drehscheibe-online.de/foren ... 17,7588219 .Driving trailer 6452 coupled with a three car Ganz. And there are also some pictures in IliaPress.gr from Kardiakafti.

Before the scrapping tsunami of 2014-2015 in Syrtis, there were:

4 powered coaches, at least two of them 6451 series
4 driving trailers, at least two of them 6451 series
5 trailers (bth bars and 2nd class), at least 2 of them 6451 series

Now in Syrtis there are:
6464 powered coach (burnt, no engine, seats but the cocpit is in acceptable condition)
trailer 0065 from trainset 6552 (it is propably the ONLY one surviving, if there are no such cars in Kardiakafti, with problems in the inside side of the roof)

Now in Kardiakafti there are (these are the identified cars- there are more there....):

Powered coaches:

6461 with engine
6466 with engine
6469 without engine
6468 with engine
646x with engine

Driving trailers:

6465 (the most easily recognisable car in the metre gauge network- the <<hero>>) burnt with 1-2 seats inside
6467 in acceptable condition
6468 in acceptable condition
6470 in acceptable condition

Bars:

6452 in aceptable condition => the only 1976 car I have identified by now in Kardiakafti
At least 2 in acceptable condition from 1985 (no numbers available)

The other unidentified cars are burnt or not easy to be reached because of the weeds........

In Kalamata Depot:

Trainset 6467 (However, as I have written above, its driving trailer is in Kardiakafti, so there must be another trailer also numbered 6467 =>Jason knows...)

In Myloi:

Unknown bar carriage from 6451 series scrapped

ALL THE OTHERS HAVE BEEN SCRAPPED
(And as for the 6451 series, there must be somewhere a driving trailer and a powered trailer.I hope.......)
But I do not know if there are Ganz pieces in M.ΠΡ.
(WHEN I SAY ACCEPTABLE CONDITION I RATE IT FROM 40% TO 70%)
