By the time I visited Kalamata in 2001, A.3 had received a coat of black paint (and the inevitable graffiti). It was missing chimney, coupling rods and nameplates (and probably much more besides).

Here it is, as preserved at Messolongion. It now sports a length of pipe as a false chimney and wooden replica nameplates, but the coupling rods are still missing. Alongside stands a statue of former Prime Minister Charilaos Trikoupis, for whom the locomotive was named.
