From Facebook's Greek Narrow Gauge Railways group, Nestor Lappas, posted some pictures from an article by the prestigious french 'La vie du rail' under the title L'Hellade. No idea when publishing was done.

Here is a picture of anunidentified 1055, 1058 SLM Thessaly Railways at Patras station.

I think this is a Bs 7.151 - 7.155, built 1912 by Henschel (Former B 151 - 155)

the so called "Baoula" (Trunks).

Hi Folks,

This locomotive is indeed the 'Baoulo', a preserved example of which can be seen at the OSE Museum in Athens.

This relatively low-powered class was mostly active working short local trains in the Pyrgos area; there are very few sighting reports in Central Peloponnese...

The interesting part of the story is that the engine was not nicknamed 'Baoulo' because of its looks, but because of its ...builder's plate! The Henschel works were in those days based in Kassel, and the name of the city was written in big script on the builder's plate located on the tank. The logical process of reading 'Kassel' as 'Kassela' (greek word for a trunk) and then sliding towards 'Baoulo' (another greek word for trunk) was typical...
