Thanks for the pix Christo,

It's interesting to compare the works pic with the other two; I suppose the feedwater heater was probably too complicated a device for our network and has been removed at the first sign of failure!

Another interesting thing is the lining on the works pic; these pictures were of course taken using a filter (probably red), but I don't recall having seen any lined SEK locos. Of course, in pre-war days, a few engines were reportedly painted in non-black paints (e.g. the Ea and the Ia). Anybody knows details?

BTW-1, can somebody please post the approximate retirement dates for the Κβ?

BTW-2, Christo, do you think it would be possible to start a topic for the Κγ (true, the 'Belgians' were really ugly, but they were interesting)

I forgot to note that the Friedmann injector is also gone, replaced by a standard Nathan...

From what i 've found / collected / told etc .

Κβ 811 --> destroyed in WW II
Κβ 812 --> 1945-1948 at JDZ as 144-001
Κβ 813 --> withdrawn 04/1970 and scrapped at freight station of Thessaloniki, ~ 1984. (last General Repair 30/09/1965)
Κβ 814 --> 1945-1948 at JDZ as 144-002
Κβ 815 --> still working in 1969, last Gen. Repair 24/01/1969, scrapped at Thessaloniki freight station ~1984.
Κβ 816 --> withdrawn in 03/1970 (last Gen. Rep. 09/11/1968), scrapped at Thessaloniki freight station ~1984, in 1971 it was reported that most of her parts were missing (to be used for other "Κβ"s ?)
Κβ 817 --> still working in 1972, last G. Rep. in 15/05/1970, was abandoned at the Thessaloniki freight station and then was transported at the Depot of Thessaloniki, she is the only Κβ still existing.
Κβ 818 --> 1945-1948 at JDZ as 144-003
Κβ 819 --> 1945-1948 at JDZ as 144-004
Κβ 820 --> "σε παραφυλακη" (= ready to be used in special case) in 1969 at Rentis depot, transported to Amalia stock depot around 1973 where it was scrapped (last G.R. 12/08/1967).
Κβ 821 --> destroyed during WW II
Κβ 822 --> withdrawn 30/04/1969, last G.R. 17/06/1966, in 1971 was reported that most parts are missing, scrapped at Thessaloniki freight station ~ 1984
Κβ 823 --> destroyed during WW II
Κβ 824 --> destroyed during WW II, here frame was found and scrapped in the 1970s.
Κβ 825 --> in 1969 "σε παραφυλακή" at Rentis, in 1971 reported as "Completely destroyed". Around 1973 transported to Amalia stock depot where she was scrapped. (last G.R. 26/03/1962).
Κβ 826 --> in 1969 "σε παραφυλακή" at Rentis, in 1971 was reported that many parts were missing, ~1973 transported to Amalia where she was scrapped (last G.R. 29/04/1964).
Κβ 827 --> withdrawn 18/01/1971 (last G.R. 31/03/1966), scrapped ~1984 at Thessaloniki's freight station.
Κβ 828 --> 1945-1948 at JDZ as 144-005
Κβ 829 --> in 1972 still working at Thessaloniki, scrapped ~1984 at the freight station.
Κβ 830 --> destroyed during WW II
