The freight wagons at Agios Ioannis are at the station area, not at the Rentis Works witch is a more restricted area.
Asking people there politely you'd most probably be allowed to shoot from the platforms and the pedestrian bridge.

If one is polite and a bit lucky might be also allowed to shoot into the Workshop, Johannes could ensure that

once an "Guard" forced me to leave the station until the strike.
But I tooked a lot of pictures. Sadly do the Strike I want make some Trips and get got cancellated.

I guess it was a "Security", we have no chance with them around...
One has though more than 90% chance to be allowed to take photos if goes straight to the Station Master and ask for it.
