Greek Railways in the magazines (also foreign ones)
Good morning to all members
In the Facebook's Greek Narrow Gauge Railways group (not posting always narrow gauge stock, but international mainly), the follower Nestor Lappas, posted some pictures.
Those pictures were published in an article by the prestigious french 'La vie du rail' under the title L'Hellade. No idea when publishing was done.
There we can see trains, stations, railway workers and people....
In this first part is visible stations as Athens, Tebas, kalábryta, , Lamia, Trípolis, Patras, Trikala, Tesalónica, , Corintos, Kalámai...
Of course, i'll post the stock pictures in each topic but here I'll do the generic ones
here it is the first picture, and it's typical vision of that Greece...
And let's start that trip all wondering it's summer and we'll travel from sunny Athens !
Get ready for the conductor and let's have the tickets at hand! We can see we're doing the Athens-Tesalonique line, via Larissa
Meanwhile, the head of station gives orders to the proud machine man in 'his castle' of the Μα1010 BREDA & ANSALDO 1953/4 cabin...
Some pictures of the Thesaly valley, before Larissa, where geographic difficulties are not a problem for the railway line...
Rest continues as told in each topic...if secound part is known, please post it!
