Good afternoon to all you,

I think we can make a new topic where we can share OSE stations diagrams so we can use them to design our layouts. Are you interested? I think it'll be usefull for modellers

A good idea for a diorama with steam engines. The large shaded area is the SOM which is the old Engine shed serving Thessaloniki. Then the station moved and the Enginre shed changed its use. The SOM can be seen here viewtopic.php?f=14&t=208 (the last two photos), and the small single road engine shed can be seen here viewtopic.php?f=13&t=155 (3rd photo down).

Hello! I found this forum accidentally when browsing for PKP Polish carriages, which, as I can see, use to visit Greece from time to time. Let me inquire if you have any information or precise geodesy plans of branchline standard gauge Greek stations, or rather train stops, with only one or maximum two turnouts (points)? Such stops usually had a low paved platform of some 35 to 100 m, while the second track was used for goods freight loading and unloading.

While I'm not much into Greek railways' history, I presume that such stations must have existed on local lines. These were quite popular private railroads in pre-WW I and WW II Germany, and were named either Kleinbahn or Nebenbahn, or Lokalbahn (in Bavaria). Some of them were later inherited by Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary and other Central European nations. Did such lines with their small stations/stops exist in Greece?

hi yahya, welcome to our company,

I know there are quite such stops around but unfortunately I have no photo or plan diagrams of them
let's wait for the others to find out if we could get some info...

what I have found in the photos collected from the net:

train stop at Livadia, Serres

and a small Thoriko station at the now abandoned meter gauge line Athens-Lavrio

Thank you very much for the reply. Are there any track plans for these stations (stops) available?

Places like http://www.sfs.gr/ or http://www.amnizia.org/forum/ used to offer free information similar to what you are looking for. Unfortunately the latest trend in Greece is to provide info for members only. But of course you can become a member and sample their delights. ;)

Hi to all,

I plan for next year a project in 0 gauge. I am currently under stress with work (Christo knows :( ) but I would like to gather some ideas on what to build. It should be a small REALLY GREEK style station that has a track plan for good operations. It will be build in FREMO norm so I can attend meetings. It is a long term project that will go to the planning phase in the first half of 2015 and maybe in fall 2015 I will begin. It will be set in Ep III period for some good steam operations. I would like to have some suggestions and discuss them. Trackplans of some stations would be of help. I am not fixed in the region but it should be an original building and not these concrete stuff like Vyroneia etc.

I´m open for suggestions.

Kind regards
Andreas
