Hellas-Express

I've only ever seen one of these wagons, at Sfendali in 2005. A typically Germanic looking wagon.

Built by V.WESTD WAGGONFABRIKEN AG-Köln 1941, SEK Pπτ 118403-118490

Well, i think that we must not be so sure that this company (WESTD. WAGGONFABRIK A.G. - KÖLN) has built all of them.... and that all of them are built in 1941....


Anyway, just as Tim said ..... except that they are Ρπτ and not Ππτ . And some of them had a braking hut.

118411 - Lianokladi. This one was rebuilt at Thessaloniki works, 2009 to be the 2nd firefighting vehicle of O.S.E. staying at Lianokladi.



118465 - the one that Tim uploaded.... now at Ipato.



118468 - Nea Magnisia with braking hut .






At least 7 more were surviving at Thessaloniki untill 2005 but now are scrapped.

Ha! Once more the perils of relying on someone else's wagon list are revealed. I bow to your superior knowledge!

What i forgot to say is that 118465, at its last years of use was a ''dirty OSE's oil tank'' ...

Not all 2 axle tank cars I have seen looked the same. So the question is, where there classes P3, P4 and P5 because there is a gap between P2 and P6?

No there were not. The gap was left for the possibility of buying more 2axle tankers. The same happens with the Is where there is a gap between I2 and I7 e.t.c.


The 2axle tankers of course are different.... just like any other type of wagons.....

So what is this one I found on the internet? Its number is outside the given P2 range.

Another anomaly - here's a second photo of it culled from t'Interweb, photographer unknown. It looks German to me, similar to some of the post-war Deutz wagons. Alternatively, it could be one left behind when they retreated in 1944.

To add to my original post, I've found an Internet image of P118465's works plate, photographer unknown.

It would be a P2 but remained just a Ρπτ.
