ΜΕΤΡΗΤΙΚΟ ΟΧΗΜΑ ΕΛΞΕΩΣ, according to Christo this translates to ''LINE FAULT FINDING VEHICLE'

I think now a DYNAMOMETER CAR may be more accurate.

Here's how it was back in 2005, only slightly redder:

I do have the other side, but not a close shot. The ex-CIWL Type Y sleeper is 71 48 253-3, the former 3932.

a nice photo of the assistance train at MAI, obviously when it was in use!
it comes from a great collection of OSE rolling stock at Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kostas1975 ... 873638366/

Ο ΣΥΡΜΟΣ ΒΟΗΘΕΙΑΣ ΣΤΟ Μ.Α.Ι.b.jpg

the two Italians, viewtopic.php?f=12&t=139 and the 1936 German coach, a photo of which Jason has posted here viewtopic.php?f=12&t=31 are still coupled together today, though quite heavily deteriorated...
the good thing is that their markings are still visible and that gives us the chance of some really nice conversion project :D
note that a van was also participating at the consist, does anybody has some info and photo of it?

another point that I'd like to mention is the sliding door on the 2nd class Breda. It seems to be later addition, as it is absent at Kostas1975's photo above.
Tim, can you tell us if it was there in 2005?

Yes, it was there in 2005 but I won't bother posting my photos since your are so much better and taken on a nice sunny day! The door is on one side only, by the way.

thanks Tim, we are going to model them in that bright orange like at the photo at the top, and of course, without the door :D

:? :?

What i though was that maybe it is this one :

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=112&p=1315#p1315

Image

which is sometimes refered to as ΟΧΗΜΑ ΒΟΗΘΕΙΑΣ ΜΑΙ, but, for example, comparing the chassis of both, the on on the photo doesn't look like a T8 so much... :? :?

I have made the same thought :D, though at Kostas' photo when opened at the original size is clearly some Z3 type

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kostas1975 ... otostream/

have a look, as more experienced you might find out more ;)
