also the classification has changed from Φπ/Φπτ to Lbrs/Lbrs-v and finaly Lbms/Lbms-v

I have scoured through the MIBA book Band 5 Of Gutterwagen but there is nothing suitable for a body length of 11760 and wheelbase of 8m. I have to trawl through the other books of the series for a suitable chassis.

To my opinion this is the wrong method. Kitbashing is good for making one piece but if you want more then.....I tried kitbashing on my 3 axle baggage van and I failed. Scratchbuilding was much easier. The best way I would guess for this waggon ist to make a good drawing and a lot of pictures. If we have that I could offer to make a scratchbuild master waggon and then we can copy it in resin. The top of the car can be laser cut wood. The W irons can be made photoetched as well as the other details. It could bei quite a good kit. Buffers, I can get some for 0.25€ per piece (1.00€ per waggon) in brass, unsprung of course. This means the kit would contain:

1x resin body
1x etching plate with W irons, steps, and other small details
1x laser cut wood planking for the floor
4x turned brass buffers
4x turned axle bushes
2x axle (NEM, RP25 or RP25 fine scale)

As I see it by now, not including our time (because we do it for fun) would be a production cost per kit of about 20€ at around a production of 30 kits.

So, who is interested? A common project, which all or many help. Are Greeks able to do something like this?

Or the other option,

complete photo etched body with W irons and details, cast white metal W iron sides and laser cut waggon top. We need:

1) CAD designer for the etches. We will do it in Germany because it is more afordable than the UK. I guess with a price per waggon of about 15€ + 3€ per waggon for the films (production of 30 units). The axleboxes can also be done in the etch in a Sandwich method so no castings are needed.
2) 1 or 2 testbuilders (I could to that and probably Christo)
3) 1 designer for the decals (I could probably do that).
4) The designer will have to design also the lasercut stuff.

No calculation of time spend. Only the materials and services that we have to pay. Who is in?

Both ideas are good, kit bashing is painful sometimes and finally costs more. I'm in, as always
I cant use CAD but I could contribute making the decals
let's wait for the others, I think we have something here

Just to make a correction.The etching according to my estimation will be about 15€+3€ = 18€ per waggon. Then we have 1€ for buffers, 2-3.10€ for axle (depends...I use RP25 Finescale and mine would cost 3.10€), and about 1€ for decals. The wooden floor is difficult to estimate....You can do the floor also as etching.....We are about 23.1€ + floor....I guess if we calculate 30€ production cost per kit for 30 kits it should be ok. It can be a modelers project without companies involved....

If Barbapanagos can do the decals I will do the test build.
