OSE exDB 6173 7140 801-807 WLABm sleeping carriages

These 1959 WLABmh cars came second hand from the DB. Running numbers 61 73 7140 801 to 807. Cars 801 to 804 had a continous white stripe. Cars 805 and 806 had their stripe cut in the middle near the logo. I never saw car 807.

There is no ready made model of the OSE WLABmh, so some conversion is needed. The proper model is the Roco 45075 OBB TEN Sleeping Car as it has the wider door windows (compare it with the Roco 45828 of CFR)

The Greek coach has the Wegman bogies so we have to replace them with the RailTop 99003 set.

A decal set has been produced by Stefanos Goulakos, though a new decal set is about to be released by BalkanModels. The project is at the test print stage.

Rebuilt around 2004 by Hellenic Skaramagas Shipyards .... new numbers 61 73 71-76 801 - 807..... built in 1959 by HANSA Bremen (??)

Hi people.

I post some pics I made in March 2002, in Thessaloniki station, about this particular passenger wagon. Aguy then, working in OSE said to me: "Do you have a licence to do it?" And after that some teenagers passed underneath the wagons, and he didn't do anything. He just said: "Not below the wagons". Terrible situation......
