BM IN CO cara.jpg

Photo French Ministry of Culture showing 2 carriages converted around WWI to Ambulance cars constructed by Ringhoffer. The order to Ringhoffer was a joint one between StEG, MAV, SZD, BDZ and CO. So the question is what happened to these two. SEK inherited 4 CO carriages very similar to them but not the same. Where is Tim, Andreas, Pierre, when you need them?

VENJPG~1.JPG

I have found it here http://ek-kinisi.blogspot.gr/2013_10_01_archive.html
incorrectly placed within an article about 1940 Greek-Italian war
obviously shot during, or after, the 1912-1913 Balkan Wars. note the CO logo on the wagon at the left

Hi Christo,

considering these Coaches from the CO I have a theory about that. I was studying some photos the other day and I saw a famous picture (the one with one La and a passenger train at papadia). If you take a look at the first coach you will see the same underframe....I would guess that these were modified/rebuilt after WWII. That is very bad because these coaches are very elegant.

I will be back to add the picture...I am currently sitting in ICE77 towards Zurich. :D

Cheers

The carriages in that line should have been SM which was an independent part of the CO. The SM in Greek reads ΘΜ . Is there something like that on the edge of the roof of the middle carriage directly above the door? But I will think further on this photo which I see for the first time.

Yes, for me it surely says "ΘΜ" there ... but it looks like it has been edited - added on the photo. The photo looks far more blurry there.. :? :?
