CIWL carriages in Greece

One final vehicle I should add is a Type P stainless steel sleeper, number unknown, that was hired by OSE for a brief period in the early-mid 1970s with a view to purchasing further examples in order to rejuvenate their ageing sleeper fleet. Sadly nothing came of this initiative and the vehicle was presumably returned to whence it had come. Photo sourced from the internet, photographer Jörg Dell.

For how long was this car on trial? Christo has photographed it in 1994 and Frankie in 1997...

Two available models: One by LS Models and a cheaper one by HERIS.

The old Heris model is completely wrong - apart from the incorrect shade of blue, it has the early type corridor connection which would require significant work to modify it, and the bogies are less well detailed than the LS model. Better to save your pennies for LS - Ref. 49105 or 49106.

The problem with LS models, is not that easy to find them after a while...

That's the old France Trains model - note the incorrect spelling of the Greek sleeper word - ΚΛΙΝΜΑΞΑ instead of ΚΛΙΝΑΜΑΞΑ - this is prototypical since the full size coach had the same mis-spelling of the word. The model is showing its age - it dates to the early 1970s - but can be improved with flush glazing from the French artisan maker APOCOPA and replacement bogies although you can't really do much to improve the paint finish. Perhaps LS Models will come to the rescue when they do the Z class sleepers. They've already done Tu***sh lettering on the S class models so why not Greek?

Does anybody have a drawing (it does not have to be very detailed but have the right dimension) of the Fleche dór Dining coach? This applies to the OEφπτ1001 & 1002.

I would really appreciate it.
